Prayer Ministies

Prayer Room

We are indeed a praying church. With this in mind, we want to give everyone who comes into our house of worship a way to encounter God through prayer. Each Sunday before worship, we will have the small chapel, located at the outside entrance of the Small Sanctuary, open for private prayer. There is a sign saying, “For prayer, enter here.” The time for prayer is 8:15-8:30 a.m. and 10:30-10:45 a.m. Everyone who is a part of the Prayer Ministry is sworn to keep prayer requests confidential to the comfort of the person requesting prayer. All prayer requests will be shared with the pastors. The person requesting prayer will also be asked to indicate if they wish to have the request shared with the Prayer Team or placed in the bulletin for next Sunday. There will be a short form available to record this information as well as a Prayer Request box to keep the completed forms.

Open Prayer

On Wednesdays, the Sanctuary will be open for prayer from 7:00-9:30 a.m. The lights in the Sanctuary will be dim with a few candles lit on the altar. Worship music will be playing softly in the sanctuary to help clear the mind and prepare for prayer. Private Prayer is available in the small chapel off of the Old Sanctuary. Those wanting private prayer should let the pastor or prayer team member know so that they can be escorted to the chapel. Rev. Drew Shelley will be available for prayer from 7:00-7:30 a.m.  Members of the Prayer Team will be available for prayer from 7:30-9:30 a.m. During this time, people may come to pray for their own needs and concerns. A bulletin board will be available for those who have prayer concerns they wish to share. Also, we will invite others in our congregation to come and pray for our congregational prayer concerns as well as concerns within our community and world. A list will be printed and made available for those who wish to pray for these concerns. People will also be encouraged to take this list home with them. The list will be updated weekly in the church office by our pastors and the Prayer Team. A Prayer Guide will be made available for anyone who would like to have one.
